In addition, the company hired 21,171 people in the first quarter of FY23, increasing the company's workforce to 3,35,186 from 3,14,015 in the previous quarter. Infosys has since delivered a strong performance in the first quarter of FY2022-23, growing by 21.4 percent. For the fiscal quarter ended June 30, Infosys reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 5,360 crore.
And Infosys' consolidated revenue of Rs. 34,470 crore, an increase of 23.6 percent from Rs.27,896 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Sources say that the salary hike has been announced to prevent more employees from leaving. Infosys management has directed managers to ensure that employees are given new opportunities and skill training. Apart from this, Infosys also plans to hire a large number of freshers. It is noteworthy that Infosys has employed 85,000 freshers in the last financial year.
