Yuta Okkotsu, a close friend of Rika Orimoto's, witnessed her passing in a car accident when they were kids. It's a pledge. We'll get married when we're both adults. After being subjected to Rika's curse, she manifested as an apparition, and Yuta yearned to die himself, but Satoru Gojo, the best jujutsu sorcerer, welcomed him to Jujutsu High. Yuta meets his classmates Maki Zen'in, Toge Inumaki, and Panda there, where he also discovers his own resolve. "I want the assurance that being alive is okay," you say. "I'll end Rika-curse chan's while I'm at Jujutsu High," he declared. In the meantime, Yuta and the others are confronted by the evil curse user Suguru Geto, who was dismissed from school for killing common people.
